Can glamour modeling and religious faith successfully mix? Beautiful Mystique Siren Jannah Burnham has thrived in the world of glamour modeling and sees no conflict between showing her body and her Christianity.
Jannah’s interview and photo-feature this week on Savvy.com, in non-nude images from her Mystique Magazine April 2006 Siren of the Month shoot in San Miguel, Mexico and Kaua’I, Hawaii with master photographer Mark Daughn.
In addition to a Mystique Siren, Burnham is a five-time Playboy Special Editions model and just a tiny 4’ 11” in height. She gave birth to her first child in January and stressed the importance of faith and family in her interview.
“I am very religious,” she said. “And I believe there is nothing wrong with modeling nude if you do it the right way. If the photos have a way about them that they are classy, then it’s fine. I did not consult my pastor before deciding to pose nude. I just did it. I just felt that it was a natural thing. I had some family and friends concerned about what I was getting into, but they all know I have a good head on my shoulders and I’m able to make the right choices.”
The Hattiesburg, Mississippi native, now relocated in Texas, confesses that she has only been intimate with one man, her boyfriend since they met at age 12. As a one-man woman, Burnham stressed that she does not judge others in the entertainment industry or life in general.
“At my church, we just worship and enjoy God. My faith gives me morals and direction. I don’t judge other women if they have a one-night stand or they have two or three boyfriends at the same time. Different strokes for different folks. There is a reason why everyone is different. A one-night stand is just not something I would do personally.”
She said she will proudly show her photos to her future grandchildren. “I am very proud of them. Mark (Daughn) has a way of making you feel relaxed and comfortable,” Burnham said.
Burnham competed for the title of “Miss Mystique” and appears in the DVD and television program “Mystique Presents Mystical Journeys: San Miguel.”
In the same interview, she also discusses motherhood and how her height did not stop her from pursuing her dreams of modeling.
