open breast show contest

Naomi Sims, the first black supermodel, will host a Breast Cancer Benefit on the closing night of Fashion Week; Friday, February 10 starting at 8:30 PM, at Nikki Midtown, 151 E. 50th St. (Lex/3rd Aves). The event will also feature a fashion show by avant garde designer House de Lux by S at 9 PM. The fashion show will include celebrity models Camille from America's Next Top Model and Heather Brown from Project Runway. Bonnie Kaye, the editor of Fitness RX Magazine for women and the host of Inside Fitness CBS, will open the show with an electric violin performance. In addition, celebrity vogue diva and legendary model trainer, Willie Ninja is casting the show and walking/performing in the show. Donations will go to the American Breast Cancer Society.

Having recently battled breast cancer, Naomi Sims is eager to contribute to the fight against this deadly disease. Ms. Sims appeared as an honored guest on “Oprah” this past season, and was hailed by Oprah Winfrey as an inspiration. Ms. Sims is a legend in the world of fashion and will invite celebrities to donate to the cause. The event will also serve as a launch for the new products in Ms. Sim’s cosmetics line (www.naomisims.com). The Breast Cancer Fashion Benefit is sure to be the Fashion Week event of the season.

House de Lux by S will present the first full Collection at this NYC Winter Fashion Week event. Greatly inspired by Fiorucci and Patricia Field, the HOUSE de LUX aesthetic features bright, bold colors, animal prints and fake fur. The new collection centers around 1970's blaxploitation/pimp and disco styles as well as different global styles. Designer, S (Sarah Esmahan Hamady), is wholeheartedly devoted to the funk by way of fashion design (www.housedelux.com).
